Developer CenterVisual BasicA cornerstone of Microsoft's Visual Studio offering, Visual Basic is among the most popular development environments. Pervasive PSQL provides several data access models that tightly integrate into the Visual Studio environment. Pervasive PSQL ActiveX Controls continue to function as a DAO data source for Microsoft and third-party data-aware controls in Visual Basic version 4 through version 6. Note however that Microsoft Visual Basic.NET no longer supports binding to DAO data sources. Pervasive ActiveX Data Source Controls will bind to Pervasive Bound Controls, but will not bind to Microsoft or third-party data-aware controls that use ADO or ADO.NET data binding. The Pervasive OLE DB Provider may be used instead of the Pervasive ActiveX Data Source in ADO and ADO.NET applications.
